Across the board-is a term used in horse racing and refers to equal stakes on each outcome of win, place and show. Arbitrage-is when a variations in odds that are available will let a gambler bet on both sides and thus is guaranteed a win.
Blind bet-is when a bookie creates a diversion from his high bet on a horse at the track so other bookmakers won’t notice. In this way he lessens the odds on another horse. Bookmaker-is a company or it can be a person, who takes bets from people for sports events, or racing and is also known as a bookie.
Circled game- this is a limit that is put on the a game as to the amount of action a bookmaker will take. When this is done, it is generally because the key players are created doubts.
Dead heat-this is when there is a tie at the finish. If this happened in a non-pari-mutual bet, the full odds are then paid out to half the stakes. Double-in this bet, there are just two selections and they both must win to be a successful wager. Double carpet-this is slang in the United Kingdom for odds of 33 to 1. Form player-this is a person who decides on what to bet by looking at past performances records. Hang Cheng-this is from Asia and is a form of betting for soccer. Heinz- this bet is for six horses in different races and consists of 57 total bets.
